According to a recent survey from Cloud Security Alliance, 56% of users of cloud based solutions queried stated that they would avoid using US-based CSPs. The PRISM surveillance program, by the way, allows governmental access to data emanating from the systems of major tech companies, including Apple, Facebook, Google and Microsoft. Since the cloud is considered public domain, they are able to tap into user information, including emails and stored data. This is making many organizations using CSPs very nervous when it comes to transmitting, storing and accessing critical telecommunications information.
